Our Families @ Horley Baptist team host a range of groups and activities for parents/carers, toddlers and primary school aged children.
You and your family are welcome to join us. Some events are bookable in advance (see below) but you can usually just turn up and join in too!
REGULAR EVENTS
Horley Baptist - Kids

Every Sunday, during our Church service, we run age specific groups for the children and young people who come along!
The emphasis for us is on making faith fun and keeping things relevant to the lives of the kids too.
We use the Orange curriculum to work through the bible with children from their early life right up until they want to go and sit alongside their parents in the regular service!

Our Kids and Teens start from 10:30am Sundays in the regular service with the adults. After the first 15-20 minutes, the service leader will invite the kids to go “to their groups” at which point they go to a separate room and explore God in a fun and age appropriate way for their life stage.

We have groups for:
Creche (0-2 years) - Parents can stay or drop children with our team
Mini HB-K (age 3 - Year R)
HB-K (Year 1 - Year 4)
Connected (Year 5+)

We use music, large group lessons, small group discussions, video presentations and creative activities to reinforce one clear, simple ‘Bottom Line’ each week so that kids can walk away and remember what matters most.

Parent & Toddlers

A stay and play group for parents with pre-schoolers. We have toys, time, tea, coffee, cake and kids snacks too!
A donation of £2 p/adult and £1 p/child (over 6 months) is payable by card/cash on the door.
We have a dedicated space for infants and ’non-walkers’ which is a little quieter and in view of the main room. Our large, bright hall has plenty of activities and toys throughout and we often make use of our outside space (complete with slide and toddler cars!)

It’s on every Friday during term time.

If you have preschool kids (including new borns) and want to get together with other local parents to allow your children to socialise, then this is a group for you!
If you like a hot drink with your cake you’ll like it too :)

Who Let the Dads Out?

A monthly event for Dads and Dad figures to bring the kids, grab a bacon roll and hang out with other dads. Give mum a break and get some quality time with the little ones!

It’s on the 2nd Saturday of every month.

It’s name gives you a clue, but it’s not just for Dads. You might be grandad, uncle, big brother, mum’s friend, Foster carer …
In a nutshell:
Are you male
Do you have kids you could entertain or ‘take care of’ sometimes?
Then this group is for you.
Our set up is usually more geared towards preschool aged children, but if you have older kids they’re welcome and we are always ready to make them welcome with something more age appropriate!

Meet Dazz, Children and Family Pastor
He’s both a parent and foster parent, so he has some experience when it comes to children and young people. Dazz has now been our Children and Families Pastor at HBC for over 10 years. In fact, he has been working with kids and young people since he was one (which is further back than you would think to look at him!). He leads our Sunday Kids groups, Parent and Toddler groups and pretty much everything involving families here at Horley Baptist.
Dazz loves music, gaming and indoor climbing.
On a Sunday you’ll usually find him stood chatting to someone, running round taking care of his team or in his office planning something fun!
