Link Club Statement

Link Club @ Horley Baptist Church

Link Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 7-9pm. We cater for vulnerable adults and provide a place where people can meet, chat and take part in a varied range of social activities. Link Club is run by members and those affiliated to Horley Baptist Church.

At Link Club we are committed to doing everything practicable to provide a safe environment and to minimize the risk of harm to our members.

We believe safeguarding is about being proactive and putting measures in place in advance of any contact with vulnerable adults to ensure they are going to be kept safe.

We will ensure that all are volunteers are appropriately vetted before they become part of the Help Team.

We provide guidelines for volunteers who come in contact with vulnerable adults as part of their role to ensure they know what they need to do to keep people safe.

Our volunteers accept and recognize their responsibility to promote the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable adults at all times.

At Link Club we are committed to ensure that equity is incorporated across everything we do.

We respect the right, dignity and worth of every person equally, regardless of age, ability, gender, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality or social/economic status.

We are committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their time at Link Club in an environment free from the threat of intimidation, harassment and abuse.

All Link Club members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of opportunity.

We will provide an environment and a varied range of activities that maximize members ability to be themselves and feel part of the group.
